Sculpture CV

From 1975  First exhibitions as a freelance sculptor – particularly a group of works based on the forms of elephants.

1975-83   Employed at Exhibition Department of Natural History Museum as a naturalistic sculptor, working on all the major New Gallery’s’ themed exhibitions which set a bench mark for exhibition design in the late 70’s’s for exhibitions world wide.

My reputation as a naturalistic figurative sculptor began to grow outside of the Museum so that during this period I began to work also on TV and Film projects, sometimes on sabbatical leave.

Meanwhile I continued to work on private sculpture projects which were a little more surreal or conceptual, exhibiting regularly in the UK and Abroad. I have also continued expressing my love of wildlife with a series of realistic animal bronzes produced consistently since my days at the Natural History Museum.

1983-2007.  Full-time work as Director of own Company, and latterly, as a self employed Creative Designer, serving the feature film industry as an Animatronic Model Designer and sculptor.

Alongside film work, I have exhibited regularly in group and one person shows of painting and sculpture, both in Britain and abroad, and received public commissions from time to time.

In 1994 elected as Associate Member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.

Graham is also a long standing member of the Surrey Sculpture Society.

His recent portrait sculptures include Sergei Prokofiev fpr the Prokofiev Foundation; T.S.Eliot for the Eliot Society in St Louis, USA; Ted Hughes for Amery university, Texas and W.H.Auden for Gresham School, Norfolk.
